    This course provides a basic overview of macroeconomic theories and issues that helps the student better understand how the overall economy operates (both domestically and internationally). Topics include the business cycle, unemployment, inflation, national income accounting, fiscal policy, deficits and debt, monetary policy, the Federal Reserve System, supply-side policy, theory versus reality. ECON 121 fulfills the SUNY General Education Social Sciences Knowledge and Skills Area.
